Our Story Started in 2017
Cromwell Scout Group was founded in Sekondi–Takoradi, Ghana, in 2017 with a clear purpose: to create meaningful opportunities for young people to learn, grow and become responsible members of society.
From the very beginning, the group was built around the belief that Scouting can shape character, develop confidence and prepare young people for life. Cromwell was created as a place where young people could explore new experiences, learn practical skills, build friendships and discover their ability to lead.
Over time, that simple idea has grown into a community focused on adventure, service, leadership and personal development.

Learning Through Experience
At Cromwell, we believe some of the most important lessons are learned through experience.
Our Scouts take part in activities that encourage teamwork, independence, creativity and responsibility. Through camping, outdoor challenges, training, sports, leadership opportunities and community service, young people are given the chance to develop practical skills while also building confidence in themselves.

Cromwell Scout Group is proudly rooted in Sekondi–Takoradi and the Western Region of Ghana, but our vision goes beyond our immediate community.
Scouting is a global movement that brings young people together across cultures, countries and backgrounds. We want our Scouts to experience that wider sense of connection by learning from others, building friendships and discovering new perspectives.
Through international Scouting activities, partnerships and cultural exchange, we hope to give our members opportunities to connect with Scouts from other parts of Ghana and around the world while proudly sharing their own culture and experiences.
Looking Ahead
The Next Chapter
Cromwell Scout Group continues to grow, and we believe the best part of our story is still ahead.
Our focus is on expanding our programs, reaching more young people, strengthening partnerships and creating even more opportunities for learning, leadership and adventure.
One of our long-term ambitions is the development of a dedicated Cromwell Scout Camp. We envision a permanent space for camps, training, outdoor activities, leadership development and community programs.
In the future, we hope this space can also welcome Scouts from across Ghana and other countries, creating a place for friendship, cultural exchange and unforgettable Scouting experiences.
